The River Medway is a popular river for kayaking and canoeing. Anyone can attempt this river!.
We will be paddling the flat water section of the river, between Tonbridge and Yalding. During this trip, we will start and finish in Yalding, near the Teapot Island. you can park on the side of the road next to the canal.
There is no need for the shuttle, and there will be a lunch break, possibly a BBQ, so if you are interested, you can bring any food you would like to eat.
There is few locks on the river, but they can be easily portaged by those, who don’t fancy a splash of water on their t-shirts. The steeper of them all is the Sluice Weir Lock, which is fun, but does require skills, and will probably be portaged by the very beginners.
